2015 WATER CUBE CUP OVERSEAS CHINESE TEENAGERS SINGING COMPETITION

 

On June 27th, the MCCAF and the Chinese News organized the qualifying round for the 2015 Water Cube Cup Overseas Chinese Singing Competition in Place-des-Arts. Eight candidates participated in this competition with the dream to grab the first prize that would send them to the final in Beijing. The talented winner was Miss Qizhi Wang who represented Canada in the Competiton held in the Water Cube Olympic Studium with 70 candidates from 40 countries of the World, July 20-August 8th, 2015. After three-round competition, she entered the final of this prestigious event together with another 11 candidates winning favorable comments from the judges. The MCCAF is proud to have contributed to realize her dream.

On August 8th,  the Award Ceremony took place at the People’s Congress Hall in Beijing to congratulate the WaterCube Singing competition' s winners and to celebrate as well the Overseas Students Summer Camp closing. The State Councillor, Mr. Yang Jieshi, the Mayor of Beijing, Mr. Wang Anshun, and the Director of the Overseas Chinese Office, Mrs.Qiu Yuanping, presented the Ceremony. Madame Susan Huang from the MCCAF was also a presenter at the event.

JUNE 23

70TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE CHINESE ANTI-JAPANESE WAR 

 

The MCCAF organized the 70th Anniversary in commeration of the Chinese victory of the anti-Japanese war which was held at Place-des-Arts, Théâtre Maisonneuve. For the occasion, the foundation sponsored 50 ticket intended for chinese students in order for them to attend the concert.

You have a project to better your community, an idea of a show to help local talents to get known, send your proposal to the Foundation, and we will study it to see if we could give you the support you need. Please ensure you give as many details as you can so we can have a good picture of what you want to achieve.
