MCCAF attended LPC's christmas party

 

On December 9th, the Liberal Party of Canada held a huge Christmas  Party  in Ottawa's Convention center gathering more than 2700 people. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his family, as well as all the MPs and their families presented the government's members. MCCAF'S President, Susan Huang, and the Advisory Board Chairman, Annie Chan, took part of this special occasion.

MCCAF's cocktail party in honour of Mrs. Jiangping Zhao, General consul in Montreal

 

On December 4th, MCCAF organized a cocktail party, in one of the Bell Centre's private lodges during Eason Chan's concert, to honour Mrs. Jiangping Zhao, General Consul in Montreal, and her dedicated work and support. MCCAF's President, Mrs. Susan Huang, warmly thanked the General Consul, the Deputy Consul General, Mr. Yigang Li and all the Consulates from the Chinese Consulate in Montreal for their support to the foundation in promoting the Chinese culture. Mrs. Jiangping Zhao will be leaving office to return to China.  

NOVEMBER

MCCAF invited at Mr. Justin Trudeau's lunch reception in Ottawa 

 

On November 25, Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada, received MCCAF's president, Susan Huang, and Advisory Board Chairwoman, Annie Chan,  at the Parliament in Ottawa during a lunch reception.

MCCAF invited to celebrate Alexandra Mendes' s success

 

The new elected MP of Brossard and St-Lambert, Mrs. Alexrandra Mendes, held a celebration party in Brossard, which MCCAF's President, Mme Susan Huang, and the Advisory Board Chairman, Annie Chan, attended. Mrs. Alexandra Mendes expressed her sincere thanks to all the people involved in her election. Special thanks were made to Annie Chan, the Advisory Board Chairman of MCCAF who presented with Mrs. Susan Huang a Muan Flower Painting to Mme Alexandra Mendes to congratulate in her success.

OCTOBER

Mrs. Jiangping Zhao, General Consul, received MCCAF

 

On October 28, the General Consul, Mrs. Jiangping Zhao, received MCCAF's president and Advisory Board Chairwoman, Susan Huang and Annie Chan, to discuss the foundation's business plan to build a strong bridge between China and Canada through cultural exchanges. The Chinese consulate, through Mrs. Jiangping Zhao, has been supporting MCCAF's ideas and projects since MCCAF was created, and through the discussion, many actions will be put in place in 2016.

On October 19th, Mrs. Susan Huang and Mrs. Annie Chan attended the celebration party in Montreal for the winning of the Liberal Party of Canada. The new Prime Minister, Mr. Justin Trudeau, gave an emotional and enthusiastic speech. Every sentence he spoke won warm applauses from the crowded and crazy audience. There were about few thousands Liberal Party's supporters and volunteers at the site.

SEPTEMBER

MCCAF celebrated the 65th National Day Celebration

 

On September 26, MCCAF organized the 65th National Day Celebration at Robin Rough restaurant in China Town.

On September 25, the Consulate General held the 65th National Day celebration. Mrs. Susan Huang and Mrs. Annie Chan were invited to the Party. The Consul General, Mrs. Jiangping Zhao, the Mayor of Montréal, Mr. Denis Coderre, and many other important leaders of both Chinese Communities and government offices of Québec and Montréal attended this special occasion.  The entertainment was taken care of by the Dancing Troupe from Nanjing which presented a wonderful performance. As well, the audience was delighted with a fashion show.

Mr. Dimitrios (Jim) Beis met with MCCAF

 

On September 24th, Susan Huang, Annie Chan and Stephanie Lopez met with Mr. Dimitrios (Jim) Beis, City Councillor responsible for the Culture Communities, Sports and Leisure. MCCAF presented its fiv- year plan to Mr. Beis and introduced the foundation and its Board members. Mme Susan Huang also presented the proposal  for the Jasmine Festival, which will be organized in 2016.

JUNE

MCCAF and the Chinese News welcomes Culture China's delegation 

 

On June 22, MCCAF together with the Chinese News organized the Welcome Party for the delegation of Culture China headed by the Director of the National Overseas Affairs Office, Mr. Qibiao Ren, and the Party's Secretary of China National Opera and DramaTheater. All the leaders from the Chinese communities and the delegates presented the Banquet. There were over 400 people who attended the Banquet. Mme Susan Huang, representing the Sponsors for the 70th Anniversary Performance of Chinese Anti-Japanese War Victory, made a speech in which she indicated the great honor for MCCAF to be part of the event organization and Sponsor.  She also mentioned that it was the combined effort from the National Overseas Affairs Office, China National Opera and Drama Theater, all the Community Leaders from different associations, all the sponsors and volunteers that made the event successful.

On June 3rd, the MCCAF took part of Montreal's Mayor fundraising cocktail at Palais des congrès. It was a great occasion for the foundation to grow its network of business people and inform them of the MCCAF's activities, as well as explore with them opportunities to help the community's events.
